PADI Divemaster Course

The PADI Divemaster course is a comprehensive training program. It’s designed for divers who want to take their skills to the next level and become leaders in the diving community and want to turn diving into their profession. We couldn’t think of a better place to do your PADI divemaster course than the Galapagos Islands.

The course is divided into three main sections: knowledge development, water skills development, and practical application.

Knowledge Development

During the knowledge development section, you learn about dive theory, equipment, safety and risk management, and the role and responsibilities of a dive master. This is done through self-study using the PADI Dive Master Manual, online learning modules, and classroom sessions with a certified PADI instructor.

Water Skills Development

In this section, you refine your diving skills and learn how to assist and supervise divers at all levels. This includes practicing rescue scenarios, leading dives, and assisting with courses and workshops. You will also develop your leadership skills, such as communication, problem solving, and decision making. Essential skills for being an effective dive master.

Practical Application

Finally, you put your knowledge and skills to the test by completing a series of practical exercises and assessments. This includes creating dive plans, conducting briefings and debriefings, and demonstrate your ability to manage and supervise dive activities.

Throughout the course, you truly become part of our team and work closely with our PADI masters and instructors. They will provide guidance and feedback on your progress. This course is designed to be challenging, but also rewarding, as you develop new skills and gain a deeper understanding of the underwater environment.

Upon completing the PADI Dive Master course, you can work as professional dive guides or dive masters. You can lead groups of divers on guided dives and assist with courses and workshops. You can also continue your training by enrolling in the PADI IDC to become certified as a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor.

The PADI Dive Master course is an excellent choice for divers who want to take their skills to the next level and pursue a career in the diving industry. It provides a solid foundation of knowledge and skills that are essential for being an effective (dive) leader in and out of the water.
